(The Magazine Plus Editorial): – Washington, DC, District of Columbia, January 22, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – Snob Nails was founded by London Ward, a woman who is quickly making a name for herself in the nail industry. The London-based company is a nail salon and nail technician school that produces high quality couture nails and trained professionals. Backed by the DC and MD Board of Cosmetology, Snob Nails has a mission to bring forth young black entrepreneurs and make an impact on the positive side of the beauty industry through trained, skilled nail practitioners. She started Snob Nails with no loans, no flyers, and $ 6,500 of her salary saved as a nurse. While working as a nurse, London piqued an interest in creating a residual income as she was the mother of a special needs child who became a passion for nailing. In June 2020 she made history and currently opened the only and only black-owned school for nail technicians in the DMV area. By November 2020, the London School became a WIOA partner in Maryland, offering free tuition to all Maryland residents who leave the school at no cost. Since opening, her school has had a 100% pass rate on government bodies and is quickly being referred to as the Harvard of Nail Tech School. Snob Nails is located in Temple Hills, MD, on the lower level of the historic mall known as Iverson Mall.
