“We heard about our industry and the best way to serve the international market in 2021 is to have in-person experiences later this year as well as a rich online experience that anyone can join this summer” he tells Anna Knight, Vice President, Licensing, Informa Markets. “We have all felt the ramifications of not being able to meet in person in 2020, and while the pace of recovery is promising, we are serving a truly global market. Feedback from Licensing Expo customers and partners shows that August is too early for the majority of licensees to properly plan and conduct attendance at a personal event of this size and scale with ongoing restrictions on international travel and business travel. Our mission remains to create the most valuable platforms for our industry to network and grow. So we decided to focus our efforts on our virtual experience in August, followed by in-person events in the fourth quarter and beyond. “
The Licensing Expo Virtual is to take place August 24-26, 2021, is a free event powered by a robust online platform that enables exhibitors and visitors to plan and host meetings, enjoy on-demand content and thought leaders, and search and discover the widest range of properties, which are available for licenses from anywhere in the world.
“Licensing International’s mission is to serve the licensing industry, drive our members’ businesses and celebrate our successes as an industry,” said Maura Regan, President of Licensing International. “Licensing Expo Virtual does all of that and we are proud to be the exclusive sponsor.”
After licensing, the Expo Virtual will open Brand & Licensing Innovation Summit US (October 27-28, 2021), which will take place live and in person in New York City on Convene Liberty Street. After launching Europe in June this year and adding 300 to 400 license and brand managers, B & LIS will offer trends and forecasts, insights into retailers, insights into growth categories and deep insights into digital and content innovations to make it easier to navigate ever-changing retail, content, and consumer landscape.
Then in November Trademark licensing Europe will take place live and in person at ExCeL London from November 17th to 19th, 2021. An online event will follow two weeks later (November 30 to December 1, 2021). To make online participation and navigation seamless, BLE will use the same platform as Licensing Expo Virtual.
In-person B & LIS and BLE events are organized in accordance with Informa’s AllSecure health and safety standards to ensure that all attendees can safely and securely attend.
The Licensing Expo will take place May 24-26, 2022 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
