LDWF pronounces modifications within the licensing system

BATON ROUGE, La. (LDWF) – The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is changing the way hunting and fishing licenses are printed. From March 15, 2021, licenses and tags will no longer be printed on durable paper. Instead, it is printed on standard 8.5 x 11 (paper size) paper.

LDWF is making the switch to remove obsolete hardware requirements associated with the traditional printed system.

Customers can also have a digital copy of their license emailed to them. Just make sure that the license provider has saved your email address correctly and that the electronic license is sent immediately after the purchase is complete. This can be saved on your smart device and used as evidence of a valid license on site. However, deer and turkey labels must be printed for on-site use.
