HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Kauai County Treasury Department announced on Wednesday, April 7th that the driver’s license department is now accepting credit and debit card payments.
Credit or debit card payments include a 2.95% charge for each transaction.

Cash or check payments for services are still available to customers. The services of the driver’s license department are only available after online appointments, with the exception of road tests.
Expiring driving licenses, state ID cards and permits valid until mid-April
Officials continue to develop a credit and debit card payment option for personal window transactions in homes and automobiles.
To renew a vehicle registration, visit the Automobile Department kiosk at Līhu’e and Kapa’a Safeway locations or Ishihara Market in Waimea.
