Prime Minister Mark Phillips has announced license exemptions for around 50 small internet service providers to help expand the telecommunications sector in 2021.

During an appearance on the National Communication Network’s “Budget in Focus”, Phillips stated that his office will focus primarily on the telecommunications sector this year, particularly with regard to ICT connectivity in underserved and underserved areas.

The Prime Minister said there were plans to facilitate the connection of 200 hinterlands and poor communities, adding that “a huge amount of money” was available for this program.
